This is evidenced by the fact that the City constructed a park dedicated soley to dogs and their human companions; referred to by locals as the IRB Dog Park. While the City paid to construct the park, an amazing group of community members stepped-up to voluntarily promote and support the dog park through a voluntary membership program, local business sponsorships & personal donations. This organization is appropriately named, Friends of IRB Dog Park. In addition to the dog park, many of our local restaurants/pubs offer outdoor doggie dining on their patios - so you can take your best friend out with you for a night on the town. And if your furry friend comes down with a case of heartburn from overindulging, you can visit one of our local vets for a prescribed remedy!
